Juniors' Christmas Party & Visit 2009

The TS MANTLE VC Junior Sea Cadet Christmas outing this year to the Fleet Air Arm Museum was a great success. They were given an initial briefing followed by a guided tour by one of the museum's explainers who was an ex-Naval pilot (Lt. Peter VOKES retired), PO VOKES' grandfather. The cadets had access to things the visitors don't usually get to see plus received a lot more background information explaining how and why things happenned.

Here the Juniors are on the 'Flight Deck' watching a Buccaneer jet 'land on'.

On conclusion of the visit to the museum we all went back to TS MANTLE VC where Mrs Sandi VOKES, with Phoebe's help, had prepared a vast feast, well High Tea with loads of food, which the assembled juniors and PO VOKES did their best to demolish.
