The Heads need refurbishing

We have received an excellent quote to enable us to copmpletely refurbish the Heads ( toilet block )
We will have three seperate areas that will have three individual showers, three WC's and Two unrinals.
one area will be fitted to accomodate wheelchairs and disabled access.
The funds required are just under £14000.00
We have already been promised some of the bathroom suites at either cost price or donated by a local businessman.
This will reduce the cost
There are plans available at the unit for you to see

Remembrance Sunday Parade

Worthing Sea Cadets paraded the full ships Company and showed Worthing that we care. We paraded our Standard, we lowered the White Ensign and Red Ensign and Union Flag, we laid our poppy wreaths and assisted the Mayor's Civic party to lay theirs.

Worthing Sea Cadet Corps Committee approached a well known Public House in Brighton to ask if they would be able to assist in raising funds towards a new standard for the Unit.
The White Horse situated at 30 Camelford Street, Brighton, BN2 1TQ - 01273 603 726 glady helped and raised the funds. They are now looking towards other fund raising activities to benefit Worthing SCC.
CPO(SCC) Robert Picknell, 1st Lieutenant, T.S. Vanguard recieved the funds and thanked all parties involved

Sussex Police

Sgt O'Neill and Worthing SCC

With great consideration of the many charities Sussex Police help, Worthing SCC were presented with a Cheque from Sgt O'Neill to assit towards equipment for Expedition Training. This will assist both Sea Cadets and Marine Cadets.
Lt(SCC) Andrew Seggie RNR , Commanding Officer, T.S. Vanguard advised that we are looking forward to using this equipment and planning courses and events for the next year.

Race For Life Worthing 2009

Worthing SCC were asked to assist which we did gladly. The cadets and Staff got stuck in and enjoyed the morning which was for Cancer awareness

Broadwater Carnival 2009

We attended the Broadwater Carnival again this year and our newly formed PSA showed which helped pull in the crowds we also had a vist from Councillor Lieutenant Commander Noël Atkins the Mayor of Worthing and Charlotte Lister the Youth Mayor of Worthing.

Queen Alexandra Hospital 2009

We showed what we could do last year and this year we are doing more even though Worthing SCC were asked to help with the March through Worthing with the The Tigers we also helped at the annual open day at the Queen Alexandra Hospital. Well done to Sgt Marten who helped get the cadets together with PO Morris.

Armed Forces Day 27-28 June 2009

Worthing SCC and MCD went out in force to assit and celebrate Armed Forces Day we started on the Saturday with our Parent and Supporters Tombola together with setting up field camps and cooking as well as showing our Rib and what the SCC do as well as the MCD. We were very fortunate to be the only Cadet organisation to help on the Saturday.

Sunday we were joined by the ATC to attend the Armed Forces Paradeand suppport the British Legion and other associations.
