Worthing Broadwater Carnival
Held on 19th July 2008 a selection of SCC and MCD Cadets and Staff attended the Broadwater carnival to assist with recruitment. We had a Communication tent, face paint to look like a marine, and throw a sponge at the first marine, also there was splicing and Topper sailing dinghys shown.
The Communications section were put to very good use in helping to find a missing child during the event. With much relief Parents and child were reunited.
This has shown as a success as the following cadet night we had 2 new recruits. Bravo Zulu to all who took part.

A very worth while event and enjoyed by everyone.

On the 5th July 2008 Worthing Unit were asked to assit in the Birdman of Worthing (previously of Bognor). Sgt Marten took a group of cadets and helped clear the wreckage from the sea helping to make the area safe again. Unfortunatley the conditions on the 6th July were to bad so the event was called off on that day.
