Juniors/Cadets
Any cadets who join between the ages of 10-12 are placed in our Junior section, which is more suited to that age group. Less priority is put on training and more geared to having good fun!
Any cadets who join between the ages of 12-18 start off as new entries until they have learnt all the basics. This is done through through the completion of the New Entry "Task Book", which they are tested on once it is complete.

Subscriptions
Subscriptions are £1.50 per week, which covers both Tuesday and Sunday parades. This can be paid monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly in advance.

Uniform
The Sea Cadets is a professional, disciplined and uniformed organisation. We have the great privilege of wearing the Royal Naval uniform. As a result, cadets are expected to take good care of their kit and be proud of wearing it. On the first Tuesday of each month, we hold a full uniform parade, where a uniform inspection takes place. This allows us to ensure cadets are taking care of their uniform and allows us to address any "fair-wear-and-tear".

Courses
As the Sea Cadets are closely linked with the Royal Navy, cadets have many opportunities to go to Naval establishments/Naval ships on various courses.

About The Sea Cadet Corps
The Sea Cadet Corps is a nationwide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to all young people aged 12 to 18, Marine Cadets for young people aged 13 to 18 and with Junior Sections open to those of 10 to 12 years of age. It is Britain's most successful nautical organisation for the development of young people with Units run by enthusiastic adult volunteers.
We have a rank structure modelled on that of the Royal Navy, giving Cadets an opportunity to progress and take up positions of responsibility as they acquire skills and seniority. On reaching 18, many Cadets choose to stay on as adult instructors, when their training and talents become invaluable.
The remit of the Sea Cadets is to provide fun, friendship, adventure and learning new skills based on waterborne and land based activities.
