King George's Fund for Sailors.

Recently the Cadets of TS Pellew assisted in the collection of donations as well as the Royal Marine Band Concert.
Their assistance helped increase the total fund raised, compared to last year, by 49%.
Well done to the girls and boys of Truro Sea Cadets, keep up the good work.

Parades

Once again this year TS Pellew participated in various commemorative parades; As usual the cadets performed extremely well, representing the Sea Cadet Corps, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines admirably.

Tregothnan Charity Weekend

Taylor with the MCD

Cadets participated in the Tregothnan Charity Weekend, 28th & 29th April. With money being divided between the Cornwall MSSC and other local charities. The gardens are only opened once a year for the public to walk around.
Sea Cadets performed GIN & ASC rigging displays, with the Marine Cadets doing a demonstration of patrols followed by an attack on an enemy position. There was also the opportunity on the last MCD display to include Taylor, the son of the Garden Director, as it was his 10th birthday on the Sunday. He had watched every display over the 2 days so was able to take part without too much prompting, a future cadet in the making.
Also parents and committee members assisted in various aspects of the day, such as manning the car park area and helping in the cafe.
We would like to thank the Rt Hon. Evelyn Boscawen for including us in this event.
Below is a link to Television Cornwall, they have produced an excellent short video about the weekend.
