Welcome to Shirley & District Sea Cadets
Welcome to the web site of Shirley & District Sea cadets (T.S.Gamecock). If you are aged between 10 and 18, or know of someone between these ages, and would be interested in activities afloat and on-shore and making a lot of new friends then read on.
To see what we do, and who we are, either phone us to arrange a visit or turn-up on a parade night and a member of staff will show you around, you can even bring your parents with you.
We are not a pre-Navy training organisation but we focus on Naval traditions to provide you with skills that help in future life.
We meet each Monday and Friday from 1900 (7pm) till 2130 (9.30pm).
We would also be interested in meeting any adults who are interested in helping out. No experience is necessary but if you have any engineering, communications, sailing experience or are ex-members of either of the three Forces, then this can be useful in providing knowledge to Cadets.
Supporters are also welcome who may have experience in property maintenance, electrics or vehicle/boat maintenance & repair or may be willing to help on the catering or fundraising side.
Our HQ is just off Haslucks Green Road in Shirley not far from the old PowerGen building.
