The Committees
Salisbury Sea Cadets are a registered charity and has to raise money for its buildings and operating costs itself. We achieve this with donations plus Salisbury Sea Cadets are lucky to have a very strong Management committee who manage the running costs of the Unit, it also has two other committees who fund raise to help with other expenses. • The first being a Parents and Friends Committee who hold market stalls, boot sales and other fund raising events to which all money raised goes towards the Cadets needs.
• The other being The Old Boys Association who also raise money and helps towards the maintenance of the Cadet Unit they have been raising money since 1984 and over those years has helped to install into the Old building, gas central heating, new Toilets and updated the lighting. All committees have a regular programme of fundraising events, such as market stalls, quiz nights, and store collections. In addition make regular applications to grant makers etc. Also the community groups who will use the Hall regularly and on a one-off basis will pay reasonable hourly rates all of which will contribute towards the ongoing running costs.
