Getting waxed for Christmas
Ben Bridger recently had his chest waxed in order to raise funds for the unit. Wow, the things people do for us.... what a hero!!!

Saturday 5th December
Staff will be running a tombola outside the Star on Saturday as part of Christmas in Ryde.

BEMBRIDGE GIFT FAIR 2009
Bembridge Gift Fair: evening of Friday 27th November daytime Saturday 28th November 09
Cadets will be assisting at this event. The Entrance fees (which includes a seasonal treat) are divided between the Charities specified on the programme (this includes US!!!). Whilst this entrance fee seems to be regarded as ‘expensive’ please be reassured that all proceeds will be benefiting several Island charities. Parents and supporters of TS Royal George are encouraged to support this event.

Halloween Bag Pack at the Co-op
Cadets were invited to fundraise at the Co-op store, Freshwater on Saturday. This was a most enjoyable time and we raised £295. Our thanks to all the friendly staff and customers for their support. These opportunities really do make a difference and help keep TS Royal George afloat!

Make your Will and we will benefit
Walter Gray & Co Solicitors will donate £10 to Ryde Sea Cadets (Registered Charity 308049) for every Will made in March and April 2009.

Earl Mountbatten Hospice Big Bike Ride
Cadets are constantly supporting activities for the local Hospice. These vary in many ways ie Walk the Wight and Motor Shows etc. The Big Bike Ride was a particular favourite of ours.

Operation Minibus
Ryde Unit desperately need a new minibus. This summer we will be organising fundraising events and applying for grants in order to achieve this. If you would like to help us in any way then please contact us.
