Sea Cadets

Rushden Diamond Division

Rushden Closed for Summercamp

Dear All

Due to summercamp we are closing the Rushden site for the Tuesday and Friday and encouraging everyone to attend Northampton to go boating. It is likely to be very thin for turnout that week as we have 5 Rusden Cadets on Summercamp and Nelson on Leopald Muller. I am aware a few are also on their Hols.

RUSHDEN DIAMOND DIVISION SCC

What are the Sea Cadets and Rushden Diamond Division?

Simply the best - that's the Sea Cadets, the number one youth charity based on Britain's Senior Service -- the Royal Navy. They aim to help children and young adults build a wealth of experience and knowledge to aid them in later life - as well as to provide all the fun in doing it! The sea cadets offer various courses and activities to suit almost everyone, from physical training to boating, and cooking to navigation skills.

Rushden Diamond Sea Cadet unit - based in the cadet forces building in Victoria Road. TS Diamond is, currently, part of Northampton and Wellingborough Sea Cadet unit - built on the huge successes at Northampton the unit was first established in Wellingborough.

We have gained ane stablished home in Rushden using the drill hall in Victoria Road and the unit will serve the towns on East Northamptonshire working alongside Northampton Sea Cadets in the South West and Kettering Sea Cadets in the North of the County.

It is hoped that Rushden Diamond Division will become an independant unit - the newest of 400 sea cadet units nationwide!
