Fundraising
Unlike the other Cadet Forces, each local Sea Cadet Unit is an individually registered charity responsible for raising the money each year to cover the entire running costs of their own facilities (i.e. rent, heating, lighting, electricity, insurance, maintenance costs etc). For the average Unit, this comes to between £10,000 and £12,000 per annum, i.e. almost £1,000 every single month.

Parents and Supporters Association
The Unit has an active Parents and Supporters Association which meets regularly to raise vital funds needed to keep the Ship running, as well as providing "nutty" for Cadets at Stand-Easy and refreshments for Staff.
Besides our annual house to house collections and flag Days, we also organise popular social events at the Unit such as Race Nights, Summer Ball and New Years Eve Disco.
