The Parents Committee
Just back from selling the Nutty (Sweets) at Stand Easy (break). The parents committee give up a lot of time to make sure the cadets have little luxuries during breaks. They also help a lot with transport, fund raising and even do their duty as emergency seamstress to the cadets.

The Sea Cadet Prayer by Cadet Rebecca Harkin
Dear God,
Thank you for those who lead us at Cadets and who are willing to give up their time in order to teach us and help us to have fun.
Thank you for friendship with other Cadets and the fun and laughter we have with each other.
Thank you for the opportunities we have to learn new skills and for camps and training weekends that we can go on.
We pray that you keep us safe when at sea and protection when we are in danger and for a fun time.
Help us to love others and to respect our leaders. We also pray that you help the Unit to find new ways to raise money through fund-raising events and projects in order to meet our needs.
We also pray for our world today, for people who are in trouble and danger, for people who are ill and help to comfort them.
We especially pray for 4 year old Madeline who has gone missing in Portugal, help her to return safely to her family and we pray that you help the family to cope through this difficult time.
We pray for the members of our Armed Forces who are serving in Iraq and their families at home and we pray for the Iraqi people that they will know a time of peace.
We pray for ourselves and that we find faith in Jesus and help us to know your grace.
We ask these prayers in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord.
