T.S. Glamorgan has just entered an exciting new time with a fresh, new Staffing Team and new Unit Management Committee.
We a wide range of qualifications and experiences including windsurfing, sailing, first aid, cook stewards, drill & piping, power-boating, pulling(rowing), Expeditions.....and the list goes on and on and on.
We also enter various competitions throughout the year against other Sea Cadet Units both locally and nationally.
As well as the training that the unit offers, there are other weekend courses available that offer Cadets even more extensive training and qualifications. National Courses are held at Royal Naval Establishments across the United Kingdom. These allow Cadets to experience living and working in a Naval environment and mixing with Cadets from all over the United Kingdom.
Cadets can apply to go to sea on 'T.S.ROYALIST', a Sea Cadet square rig sailing ship and the 'John Jerward', a Sea Cadet power boat training ship.
We in Penarth are lucky in that our affiliated ship H.M.S.EXPRESS, a university training ship, is based in Penarth Marina. Trips for Cadets are arranged when the ship is not being used by the university students.
Join in the fun by turning up to one of our Parade Nights or by contacting us for more details on 02920 710137 or penarthscc@gmail.com.
