Boating
Opportunities arise throughout the year for Cadets to go boating and boathandling at Victoria Docks and other venues when weather and programme allows.
Cadets can also go away on courses for a range of boating activities, including sailing in the Corps power boats, canoeing and TS. Royalist.
An order has been placed through the Marine Society and Sea Cadet Corps for a new "Trinity 500" boat, which will be stationed at Twickenham Unit. This will enable Trafalgar Cadets to spend time on pulling in their own boat and at a local venue.

Unit Band
Practice usually takes place on Wednesday evenings from 1930-2130, tutored by C/ Sgt A. Hercock and assisted by Mr. A. kemp.We have most of the Cadets involved as band members who have perfomed very well on a number of public occasions, since their first public performance in 2004, the first for a few years. For five years they have led the Remembrance Day Parade, marching through Wimbledon and recently at Mitcham. Instruments played are drum, bugle, and bell-lyre. In May 2008,the band were requested to play during the Bromley May Queen Parade and have since played each year's Beckenham parade. Another annual event has been the Mitcham Carnival,at which the Band has joined the Parade.

Canoeing at Kingston
When the spring approaches and the evenings lighten, we shall be canoeing , usually on a Tuesday evening, on the River Thames, at the Albany Club, Kingston. The Unit transport leaves as early as possible to give time to travel and prepare for training on the water. Expert tuition is given by Civilian Instructor Geoff Lewis, who is extremely qualified and happens to work at the Albany Club! Additional Instructors are CPO. Mark Walker and CPO. Simon Boddy, also BCU qualified.
