TS Cornwallis
Aged between 10-18 and want something interesting to do in the evening and at weekends?
Our aim is to offer training and adventure in a fun environment with qualified and motivated volunteer staff.
We meet every Monday (except Bank Holidays) and Wednesday evening 1915 - 2130 (7.15pm - 9.30pm) at our unit headquarters in Brompton Barracks.
Activities on normal parade nights consist of a mixture of training and fun activities. We aim to build confidence in young adults whilst they gain valuable skills, and take part in exciting activities that they are unlikely to have the opportunity to do otherwise.
Throughout the year, the unit participates in various competitions including: swimming, sailing and football. Other activities include: the opportunity to visit Royal Navy ships and training establishments, undertake training afloat on the corps extensive range of sailing craft, expedition training to achieve Duke of Edinburgh awards. These are just a few examples of the many activities available.
If you would like further information on what we have to offer, or to arrange a no-obligation visit to have a look around the unit and meet some of the cadets, contact us on 01634 570 171 (24 hr answering service) or e-mail the unit on mtsc@hotmail.co.uk.
Medway Towns Sea Cadets is indebted to the many companies, organisations and individuals who have assisted the unit by donating goods or services, or by making financial donations during the last twelve months. We would particularly like to thank the following for their generous donations:
King Charles Hotel (Gillingham)
Medway Council (The Mayors Fund)
Royal Naval Association (Chatham Branch)
It is only by the generosity of its many supporters that Medway Towns has been able to achieve the results that it has. The unit has high expectations for the future. If you would like to offer any help or financial assistance to the unit kindly e-mail the unit chairman at ian.spreadborough@sstg.org.
