Stores Officer needed!!
We currently have a vacancy for a Stores Officer.
This person would ideally be able to attend the Unit two nights a week for 2 1/2 hours, not necessarily in Uniform, to assist us in providing uniform to existing and new Cadets, managing the stock of Uniform, and keeping basic paper and computer records.
You would have to undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (paid for by the MSSC) and basic entry paperwork.
Enthusiasm is essential! Prior training not required!

Ships Visit - MV Confidante
Lt Anderson again reprised his role as Captain Anderson in his civilian life to take six Cadets (including our New Entries) on a tour of the MV Confidante, a Gardline Survey vessel.
Cadets were shown around the ship and then even given some stand-easy to boot!
See them here posing for a photo shoot in the 'Titanic' style, and others to join it in the Gallery asap.

District Paddlesport Competition 2009
Six Cadets entered the District Canoeing Competition on Sunday 24th May to try and qualify for the Area Competition in July.
ACs Brewer, Fish, Mottram and Walker, OC Patience and Cdt Cooper travelled with SLt Cockrell and POs Barney, Holland and Mottram for a fun day in the sun, competing with Cadets from Norwich, Beccles, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.
Although we gained no individual trophies, a lot of good results were had during the day to enable us to come second in the overall trophy! A fantastic achievement for all.
Fingers crossed for the Area team selection! We will keep you posted!

Burgee Unit - 2008
Lowestoft Sea Cadets is awarded a Burgee efficiency award for 2007-2008!!!
For the first time in 10 years, we have been awarded a Burgee in our annual efficiency awards. Every year, the Unit undergoes an 'inspection' to make sure we are operating properly and our Cadets and staff are busy achieving qualifications and getting out and going places.
This is the pinnacle of a very hard year, and we would like to thank all that have supported us.
The hard work really starts now to try and stay at Burgee level and make the Unit even better!
BZ all at TS EUROPA!
