Recently our Junior Cadets visited HMS Raider when she came through the Caledonian Canal.

The Lochaber and Oban Units came together to welcome the Northern Lighthouse Boards new ship 'PHAROS' to her home port.

LOCHABER CADET ON ROYALIST
Able Cadet David Cartledge spent two weeks on the TS Royalist as part of the crew bringing her back to Weymouth from Lisbon, Portugal.

CLOSE LINKS WITH HMS GANNET
Through our CO we have close links with HMS GANNET. We often see their helicopters in the town durng mountain rescues on the surrounding mountains. It was a special treat therefore, to get a flight around some of our local hills with them. For two of our cadets it was their first flight ever.

HMS DARING LAUNCH
A group of us went down to Glasgow to see the launch of HMS DARING.

ROYAL PARADE
We were recently asked to parade before their Majesties The Queen and Prince Philip. We also had to look after the Royal Standard for the day and fly it when needed. This was a tremendous honour for us, particularly being such a small and relatively inexperienced unit.

COMMODORE'S VISIT
We were able to take part in a short section of Commodore and Mrs Brokenshire's sponsored Land's End to John o'Groats cycle ride.
