Help for Heroes 20th Dec 2009

Following a request from Ash Finch (ex Littlehampton cadet, ex RN and event organiser), our band entertained the spectators at a fund raising football match between Rustington FC and Chelsea old boys. All proceeds went to the Help for Heroes charity, a most deserving cause. Despite the weather, there was a good turn out and I believe that about £4k was raised, Bravo Zulu Ash! Although very cold, the band performed well and the crowd certainly showed their appreciation. See photo gallery for pictures. Thanks to CPO Bray for being duty image technician, sorry, photographer!

District 5 a-side

Well done to the teams who entered, junior girls and junior boys. See photo gallery for details!

Oars donation

Many thanks to Mrs Barbara Long, who has graciously donated a number of Oars from her family estate. The staff and cadets would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks at this gift, and will look forward to using the oars in the future.

Armed Forces Day

As just about every other Sea Cadet Unit, we joined in with the first Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27th June 09. TS Sussex lead the procession through the town to Caffyns field, and then did a static display in the arena after the drumhead service.
A hot and sunny afternoon, rembering our Armed Forces, to the tuneful melodies of TS Sussex Band.
