Welcome to TS Howe - Leith Sea cadets
Sea Cadets are open to boys and girls from 10 to 16 years. What can you do at cadets?
We can teach you to sail, canoe, windsurf and drive a powerboat. If you want more adventure we have an offshore sailing ship, two yachts and two offshore power vessels.
Where do you join?
New recruits should report to our new premises at the TA Centre in East Claremont Street. It's a large building about half way along. The cadet entrance is round the corner of the building in the basement area.
Our base in Leith is used for seamanship instruction and boatwork lessons. Cadets attending there meet at the roundabout near the old bridge, just through from the gates at the Malmaison. Parents please note once through the security gate cadets cannot access any other area of the docks.
Anyone interested in joining please phone 0131 669 7604 or 07583102364
Cadets through serious fun learn to become responsible adults, good citizens and attractive candidates for employment.
What is SERIOUS FUN?
At cadets you can learn about engineering, cooking, seamanship, computer skills, fitness and first aid. We can teach you how to sail, canoe, windsurf and drive a power boat. If we are not able to teach it at the unit, cadets can attend courses at centres in many areas of UK for a very reasonable fee.
