We are really grateful to the 49 people who helped in various ways on the day and to the people of Hull for once again showing their generosity in supporting the Lifeboat Service.

LOST TRAWLERMAN'S DAY
The 19th annual Lost Tawlerman's Day service was held on Sunday 18th January at St Andrew's Dock in Hull. Around 600 people paid tribute to the men who did not return home from the sea.
Every year Cadets and Staff of Hull Unit are asked to support this event by providing a welcome hot drink for those who need it, with this year being no exception. Lt (SCC) Janice Spicer and her team of cadets met at the dock armed with hot water in flasks ready to prepare the first of the hot drinks while the water boilers bring more water to the boil. No matter how cold it is the cadets carry out their duty with a smile.
This year The Archbishop Of York Dr John Sentamu paid a moving tribute to the Trawlermen who died carrying out their daily work. He said "they knew the dangers of the seas yet still they went". After the blessing by Archbishop Sentamu, flowers were cast into the Humber and a minutes silence was held.
