Huddersfield

Huddersfield Sea Cadets are Young people to be proud of, being part of one of the largest youth organisations in the United Kingdom.

It was founded in 1856 as the 'Naval Lads Brigade', which also makes us the oldest youth organisations.

The aims have never changed : To help young people towards responsible adulthood; encouraging teamwork and leadership, and
high standards of conduct, using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

This, regardless of sex, religion, abilities or race.

The Royal Navy partially fund the SCC on the agreement that they inspect the units each year to see that we are keeping these standards.

Huddersfield Unit was first opend in 1941 and continues today to provide training to boys and girls aged between 10 and 18 along a nautical theme.

You can visit the unit at the Drill Hall, St Pauls, Huddersfield every Monday and Thursday between 1900 and 2100. Please call 01484 450122 to arrange to be met at the main gate, else send an email to highburton1@btinternet.com for further details.
