Aviation Course Lancashire

Sea Cadets took part in phase two of the Aviation Course which was a resounding success with Silver Wings awarded for its completion (Flying). This follows on from the Bronze Wings level (ground based) taken back in May.

The five day course included two days of preparation and consolidation of theory on the ground and two days in the air one of which involved advanced navigation exercise in the skies above Lancashire.

The final day saw the cadets take an oral exam which was followed by a wings presentation attended by Mike O'Sullivan, Director of Training.

One cadet was heard saying "In Sea Cadets, I have flown a plane before I can drive a car - how cool is that?"

One of our own Petty Officer Cadet attended and has been awarded his Silver Wings!
