Where do you fit in?...
Junior Cadets, aged 10—12
This is all about having fun and making friends. You'll take part in lots of events and activities like sailing, canoeing, learning first aid.
Sea Cadets, aged 12—18
Your basic training is based on the traditions of the Royal Navy and carried out in the unit and on the water. You can take part in courses and competitions ranging from seamanship, leadership, drill, communications or shooting to power boating, canoeing and sailing. We also offer the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards.
Royal Marines Cadets, aged 13—18
Do you thrive on a challenge? Do you pride yourself on your team work and strive to keep improving? Then Royal Marines Cadets could be for you. You will undertake activites like field craft, weapons training, map reading and drill as part of your training and you'll get the chance to take part in challenges abroad and in the UK.
Having moved to their current home in November 1948 Hinckley Sea Cadets has grown and flourished to become one of the leading units in the area.
Cadets take part in a number of sporting events at District, Area and National level and these include Drill & Piping, Sailing, Swimming, Canoeing, Expedition Training and Boatwork.

Royal Yachting Association Training Centre
Hinckley Sea Cadets are a recognised training centre for the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) It offers the Cadets and Staff fully qualified instructors with training in the Young Sailor Dinghy Stages up to level 4, National Sailing Level 1 and 2 and National Powerboatings schemes level 1 and 2.
Hinckley is one of a few Sea Cadet Units that holds this status.
