Waterborne Fun Day
We were so lucky to have such wonderful weather for the first of this years fun day at RVDS. Cadets and staf alike spent the day geting wet. Royal Victoria Docks.
This years first visit. Nice bright sunny evening. The cadets went in the pulling boat and the more experienced cadets went out with CPO Betts.

Cadet Multi Training
10 cadets and 3 staff spent a freezing weekend in Crowborough this weekend, but we all had a great time. Special mention to OC Sam Chan, who slept in a tent overnight. Even his water bottle froze, but he woke up in good spirits. Well done.

Lord Mayor's Parade.
A long rainy day was spent in London at the Lord Mayor's Parade this year. All cadets and staff got thoroughly soaked through. However, they all remained in good spirits and were exhausted by the end of the day. It was a great experience for all, something to boast about in conversation.The BBC, however just panned out to an interview when we were due to pass the camera! Multi training
Weekend of Fri to Sun 18th-20th September. 8 cadets had a great time at Crowborough in Sussex. They took part in Leadership skills, First Aid, Campcraft and Armed and Un-Armed drill, with all being successful. It was a particularly good weekend and the weather was fantastic with both staff and cadets having great fun.

Bristol.
We have recently spent a weekend at HMS Bristol sailing. Cadets sleep aboad the ship and come onto dry land only for meals. Several cadets gained YSS Sailing qualifications during the weekend and I hear that sleep was at a minimum. As the photo shows, the weather was glorious and te sailing was fantastic.

District and Area Regattas
Harlow have been very successful in the last month, both at District and Area regattas. We returned with 5 trophies and numerous individual medals from the District event, and Essex won both the boys and girls overall trophies. We had success as well, once again bringing home individual medals.

National Sailing Regatta
The National Sailing Regatta gives the best sailing cadets across the country to compete against each other in different classes of boats. Smaller, local, sailing competitions lead up to this big regatta.

SeaCadetFest at Lakeside Shopping Centre
On 1-2 September the SeaCadetFest took place in Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock. Cadets representing 40 Units from London and Southern Areas descended on the shopping centre to show the general public something of the fun and excitement to be had by joining the organisation.

Frimley Park Leadership Course
A selection of Sea Cadets got the chance to join Army Cadets, Air Cadet and members of the Combined Cadet Force on the Frimley Park Leadership Course. Exercises included assault courses, rafting and an overnight expedition.
