Welcome to the T.S. Adventure website
Harlow Sea Cadets Online!

Whether you are looking to become a cadet and are visiting this site for more information or are an adult interested in joining as staff then this site should provide you with plenty of information on our unit and the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC).

Harlow Unit boasts having a Junior Section and is currently starting a Marine Cadet Detachment. We welcome boys and girls up to the age of 18 and with our Junior Section, we can welcome children as young as 10. Use the menu (left) for more detailed information on the different sections.

The aim of the Sea Cadet Corps is to help young people develop towards responsible adulthood by encouraging valuable personal attributes and high standards of conduct using a nautical theme based on the customs of the Royal Navy.

Through adventurous activities Cadets become self reliant, and through team work Cadets develop consideration and respect for others. The Corps encourages high personal standards and a sense of purpose, and provides a sound foundation for future Careers.

We wear the uniform and we follow the customs of our country's senior service, the Royal Navy, but the Sea Cadet Corps is not a pre-service organisation and there is no requirement to join the Navy. However, the SCC is heavily funded by the Royal Navy and many courses are
held at Royal Navy establishments.

Join now and get involved in our action packed programme from boating and sailing to canoeing, sports and adventure training. You’ll make new friends and be part of a great team.
