Local activities and fundraising
Fundraising is an important element of Unit Management because without funds, education and training of our young people in the Sea Cadets would not be possible.
The Unit Management Committee are tasked with ensuring adequate fundraising in order to meet the costs of running the unit, which includes council rent and energy bills.
Hire the hall
When Harlow Sea Cadets took over control of the Play Barn building it was completely refurbished to a standard whereby the hall could be used for hire. Other organisations and groups use our hall on a regular basis and, with a fully equipped bar, the unit headquarters is a suitable venue for parties and other functions. The hall has a capacity of 250 people - please get in touch if you would like to learn more about hiring the hall.
Donations gratefully received
Cadets and staff are involved in fundraising activities each year. If you would like to make a donation, or could inform us of an event we can get involved with, we'd be very happy to hear from you.
