HMS Ark Royal - Ships Visit

HMS ARK ROYAL

On 16 June, HMS Ark Royal (R07), aircraft carrier, was moored in Greenwich. Edmonton Sea Cadets were able to secure a visit. Whilst on board staff and cadets, talked to many of the crew, as they toured the ship.

In the ASC, this is where the hard work really begins!

Well, we did get to the middle of the River Lea after all!!

A very successful weekend with 5 cadets and 1 member of staff gaining a seamanship 3rd class specialisation and 9 cadets, 2 staff gaining a pulling qualification.

Canoeing

In June, staff and cadets took part in a London Area Canoeing Course at Royal Victoria Boating Station. All qualified for their BCU1*.
