Fund Raising
TS Avon offers training facilities for, 30-50, 10 to 18-year-olds every year. Although all the staff and committee members are volunteers, and each cadet is asked to make a donation through a subscription, we are still left with a sizable shortfall against our £6000 per year running costs. We fundraise throughout the year and would ask your support at every opportunity.

Sunday 28th March Bag Pack Sainsburys
PO Hudd has managed to arrange a Bag Pack at Sainsbury’s Green Park Station for Sunday 28th March. We urge as many parents as possible to help in raising funds needed to run the Unit. With running costs of many £1000’s a year and only about 1/3 of that coming from Subs we need to take full advantage of this fantastic opportunity to raise as much money as we can. For each till covered there is the potential to raise approx £50. Please drop off your daughter or son and if you can please stay and help raise some money.

City of Bath SCC 100 Club
With a 1-in-100 chance of winning £100 the City of Bath SCC 100 Club is the ideal way to pick up a few quid, and support the Unit into the bargain!
For £24 a year, each member of the club is allocated a number. If your number turns up in the draw at the start of every month, you win £100. Simple as that! Every member can also buy multiple numbers to increase their chances of winning.
Anyone interested in joining the 100 Club should contact CPO Moore at oic@bathseacadets.org, or pop in to the Unit and ask for a joining form. Payments can be made in one lump sum or by monthly standing order of £2/number.

12/12/09 - ASDA (Longwell Green) Bag Pack
A big thanks to the Management and Staff at Tesco's and a big well done to the Cadets and Staff who in 3 hours managed to raise £420 in our Christmas bag pack. This was especially good as many members of the unit were at TS Weston on a training weekend.

13/06/09 - Street Collecting
Six Cadets and an equal number of staff (along with Mrs. Perrington) turned out an absolutely brilliant performance during our street collection this weekend, raising a total of £506.40p for the Unit.
Plaudits go to AC Charlotte Perrington for raising £87, the highest amount collected throughout the day.
This was a great profile-raising event and several members of the public commented on how nice it was to see the Sea Cadets out and about, and how smart and well-disciplined the Cadets were. Congratulations to everyone involved - you've really done the Unit proud.

07/12/08 - Asda Bag Pack
On Sunday 7th December Cadets and staff spent the morning bag-packing at Asda Longwell Green, aiming to raise both the Unit's profile and funding for 2009.
The two hours we spent packing yielded a fantastic result, raising a grand total of £235.87. The Cadets were a credit to the Unit, worked really hard and looked very smart.
Big thanks and well done also to PPO Clancy and Miss Hudd for organising the first of many Bag Packs.
This encouraging success stands us in good stead for Sainsbury's this coming weekend!
