Welcome to TS Acorn - Home of Waltham Forest Sea Cadets and Marine Cadet Detachment.
Waltham Forest Sea Cadet Unit is one of the largest and most successful Cadet units anywhere within North East London. We have well over 70 years of proud history as part of one of the oldest Naval Cadet Forces, the Sea Cadet Corps.
We have a new training block together with our dedicated staff who are ready to train and provide you with the best opportunities that any of the cadet forces can offer.

Parade Nights
The Unit meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 7.15pm to 9.45pm.

About The Sea Cadet Corps
The Sea Cadet Corps is a nationwide voluntary uniformed youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18, Marine Cadets for those aged 13 to 18 and Junior Cadet Sections open to the 10 to 12 year olds.
We have a rank structure modeled on that of the Royal Navy, giving Cadets an opportunity to progress and take up positions of responsibility as they acquire skills and seniority. On reaching 18, many Cadets choose to stay on as adult instructors.
As you would expect we offer a complete range of Water sports activities and every cadet has further opportunities to complete the Duke of Edinburgh's Award as well as gain BTEC qualifications. Not to mention Sea Cadet exchange visits throughout the world...!!
