Cocktail Party
Saturday 26th Spetember will see the unit host a Cocktail Party at the unit.
The evening is being arranged by LT CDR (SCC) Jon Vanns RNR and Mr Derek Ireland, and is designed to give Parents and invited cadets an insight into the forthcoming trip to Germany in 2010 and will also be used to raise funds as well.

Commanding Officer's Divisions
The First CO's Divisions following the Boating Season will take place on Thursday 3rd September 2009.
All cadets and staff are to be correctly dressed in their best uniforms and we will then commence with the plans for the winter months.

Tunbridge Wells Unit Trafalgar Night Dinner
Our Annual Trafalgar Night Dinner, to commemorate Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, has been booked for Saturday 3rd October 2009 at Tunbridge Wells Golf Club, and the cost is £30 per head.
During the evening a raffle will be held with all funds going towards the Wiesbarden Trip in 2010.
Invitations are to be sent out shortly so keep a look out in your Post Boxes

War & Peace Show
PO (SCC) William Vanns and Sgt (SCC) George Martin will be attending the War & Peace Show from Wednesday 22nd July - Sunday 26th July 2009 at the Hop Farm in Beltring.
This is the largest Military Show and memrobilia sale in the world and the two have been pulling a wide range of kit together to take over and sell with proceeds going to the unit and in particular the Wiesbarden Fund for the cadets and staff travelling there in february 2010.
Also whilst they are there they will be doing some recruitment for the Sea Cadets as well.

Trevor & George’s Run 23rd May
The pair ran in boots and full kit, weighing a minimum of 31lbs.
The 30 mile route started at TS Anson in Dartord at 8am, taking water stops at Eynsford, Sainsburys in Sevenoaks (Otford Road), and The Angel Centre in Tonbridge, before finishing at TS Brilliant, Albion Road, Tunbridge Wells. Where refreshments were served.
So far the pair have raised £825.00 (as at 05/06/09) But you can still donate donating through Justgiving, it is quick, easy and totally secure. Want to Help Raise Funds for TS BRILLIANT???
Like all Sea Cadet Units, TS BRILLIANT is a registered charity and needs volunteers to help us with the day to day running, control and management of the administration and finances and overseeing fundraising including applications for grants from varied sources.
These volunteers form the Unit Management Committee (UMC) and are Trustees for the Charity. This demanding but rewarding role is particularly suited to people with professional expertise and those with knowledge of charities and fund raising.
The UMC has an important role to play in the success of the unit by providing their skills and knowledge in fundraising and management to help us develop our cadets into responsible young adults. The UMC will usually meet once a month at the Unit.
