District Drill 2010
February 21st 2010 This year Reading was only able to enter a much smaller team of seven cadets instead of the usual thirteen even so they did extremely well coming third. Our Squad Commander A/C Williams came second not bad considering she only took on the role yesterday. Congratulations to them all. We are all very proud of them

Crest
Reading finally has her ships crest. Reading is unique in being the only unit in the country name ofter the merchant ship HMS Jervis Bay. As she sank in 1940 we have never seen her crest. A new member of the committee a former cadet Mr Pollard did some research and found a picture of her crest. With the information we were able to have a crest made. It will soon take pride of place on the main deck.

December 2009
We have three cadets gain a new rank this month. A/C Hutchins attended a leading board and passed so now has the rank of Leading Cadet, two other cadets also attended the board and except that they need one more qualification each they both passed. So in the next few months should also be Leading cadets. L/Cpl Harvey pass his corporal exam and Cdt Terry passed his ordinary cadet test. Well done to them all.
