Parents, Friends and Supporters Association (PFSA)
All Parents, ex-staff, ex-cadets & benefactors automatically become members of the PFSA.
Each year they select a committee to run the business of the PFSA at the AGM.
The PFSA Committee are a very important group of people in TS Drax.
These are the ones who provide a link BETWEEN the 'parents of cadets, the friends of TS Drax & any other Supporters of Poole Sea Cadets' AND the Unit Management.
The PFSA Chairperson sits on the Unit Management Committee (UMC), alongside the Officer commanding.
In turn the UMC chairperson & the Officer commanding also sit on the PFSA Committee.
The PFSA Committee also are continually looking for ways to motivate other parents, friends & supporters to help the unit in whatever way they can.
E.g. maintaining the fabric of the unit HQ, fundraising events, writing persuading letters to local companies, other parents of cadets and influencial members of the public to help raise the funds which are so necessary to keep a Sea Cadet unit up and running.
