Second Sea Lords Garden Party - We have been asked to provide thirteen cadets to be in armed gurad and to take part in a drill routine.

Events!
Recently, we had our annual get together with Jersey Unit here in Poole. 20 cadets and 4 of their staff come over in the May half term. During the week, they did 4 days of Cook/Steward, Seamanship 3rd/2nd class and Canoeing BCU1/2*. All these qualifactions they have trouble gaining over in Jersey. They also had the opportunity to go Clay Pigeon Shooting at the Southern Counties, were they we coached by PO Andy Marlborough and Gerry Keegan, both National coaches. They had a fantastic day and the cadets were giving certificates and badges at the end of the day. They also had a visit the RNLI College, were they were shown around the boatyard, had a look in the Fire simulator, looked around the lifeboats and went into the training pool where some of the cadets had the chance to dress in the kit which is used. On their last full day, they spent the day at Portsmouth Dock Yard visiting HMS Victory, The Naval Museum, Action Stations and Explosion following a brief visit to Gun Wharf Quays.

Competitions
District Canoeing - We recently entered three cadets in the district canoeing competition. We had one cadet in the senior section and two in the junior section. Unfortunately, we didn't win any of the races. It was a wonderful day and well done to the cadets that took part.
