Fundraising
Parkstone Sea Cadets is a registered charity and unlike other Cadet forces we have to rely on the staff. cadets and its Management Committee to fundraise throughout the year to enable the unit to continue with the high level of training we give our cadets and for the general running costs and maintenance of the unit. We would therefore, be very grateful for any donations of any kind, either equipment, monetary or even your own time, expertise and skills which you can offer the unit (ie. boat maintenance, painting and decorating, carpentry etc).
Project for 2009
Parkstone Unit desperately needs to have a larger and more effective galley so this is one of our big fundraising projects this year which we hope will come to fruition as soon as more money can be raised. Other projects which are desperately needed are a girls shower, a disabled toilet and extra classrooms.
As Chairman I work closely with the Officer In Charge of the Unit to ensure that all is run smoothly. We have a small Committee and we are always looking for new members, if you feel you could bring something new then please contact me to discuss further. Mrs Ruth Marlborough, Chairman

Parents & Friends
The Parents and Friends of TS Dolphin, is chaired by Mrs Sarah Burton and her small but committed team. Throughout the year, they hold fundraising evenings at the unit, a favourite being the Bingo and Curry Night and their fundraising stall can be found at most fetes throughout the Summer months raising money for the extra pieces of equipment that the unit needs. So far the PFA has bought the unit a laptop, a digital camera and a kayak. This year we are looking to buy a road trailer and projector.
