Learning To Sail
At Neath & District Sea Cadets we are blessed with a small but well maintained "fleet" of boats. You can learn to sail our Bosuns, Toppers or Laser, and gain nationally recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) qualifications.

Learning to Canoe
Cadets can learn to handle a canoe/kayak and participate in the British Canoe Union (BCU) Star Award Scheme.

Cadet Powerboat Training Course
Part of Sea Cadet training includes handling fast and slow powerboats. These skills are taught and assessed to Nationally recognised Royal Yachting Assocaiation (RYA) qualifications.

24 Hours Sponsored Sail
Each year the cadets and staff of Neath Sea Cadets undertake a sponsored 24 hour sail. Sailing our boats throughout the night non stop to raise funds for the unit.

On Safety Boat Duty
On duty, ready to respond to any situation. The safety boat is never far away. Come along, and learn to use it.

Improving Your Powerboat Driving Skills
Cadets learn how to take another dinghy in tow alongside.

Expedition Training
Cadets will get the oppourtunity to participate in the Expedition Training Scheme.
In addition to this we are participants in the Duke Of Edingburgh's Award Scheme, and currently have cadets participating at all levels

Cadets Afloat In The Rigid Raider
The Rigid Raider is an ex Royal Marines assault craft, we use this on our lake as a safty support boat as well as for general training use.
