23 January 2010 - Recruitment and Fundraising Event Royal Priors Leamington Spa - Thanks to Scott, Tom, Ryan, Oban, Russell, Greg, Eleanor, Steve, Mrs Robbins, and Avril for support we raised £110.00 for unit funds

Marine Visibility Team 11th February 2010
We have recently found out that the Marine Visibility Team are able to attend the unit on the 18th February to work with the cadets

KENILWORTH CARNIVAL: 4TH JULY
Cadets, Staff and parents had great fun at the Kenilworth Carnival on the 4th July 2009 we also were given £100 donation from the Kenilworth Carnival Organisers towards unit funds.
David Mountford is planning the floats for both the Warwick and Kenilworth carnivals in 2010.

COLLECTING AT ASDA, LEAMINGTON SPA
The committee had organised a collection and recruiting day at ASDA in Leamington Spa. We talked to new recruits and collection £169. A big thanks to everyone who attended.

WINE AND CHEESE TASTING EVENING FUND RAISER: 2nd APRIL
A committee member of our unit committee Avril organised a great wine and cheese tasting evening at the farm shop at the National Agricultural centre. Its was a very successful evening. The events raised £298 towards unit funds. Thanks to everyone for attending.

COLLECTING IN LEAMINGTON TOWN CENTRE: Saturday 21st.
A BIG THANKYOU for everyone who helped with the unit collection in Leamington Town Centre. We collected £136.60 for the unit funds.

THE 30KM SPONSORED KAYAK AND BBQ. WHAT A GREAT SUCCESS!
On the 31st of August, 6 cadets kayaked 30km between them. Each cadet kayaked 5 km each. IN doing so, they raised much needed funds for the unit.
Also a brave member of staff who goes by the name off "Chief" completed the entire 30km by himself. Least to say, getting out of the kayak was a painful experience but it was all worth it.
Whilst the kayaking was taking place CI Jelley and several members of the committee did a BBQ for all the spectators and canoeist. The BBQ was great and many empty bellies where filled. A big thanks to everyone who helped make the event a great success.
So far, over £150 has been raised. We are hoping that as more sponsorship comes in, we might have £300. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

COLECTION DAY IN KENILWORTH ON THE 25TH OF OCTOBER 2008
A big THANKYOU to all those cadets, staff and committee members who attended the Street Collection in Kenilworth. It was a cold day but well worth it. We collected £146 towards unit funds.

FUNDING FOR KAYAK AND CANOE TRAINING
Warwickshire District Council has just granted the unit £450 for Canoe and Kayak Training. The canoeing and kayaking course has been booked. Refer to the "NEWS AND EVENTS" page for more information.
