ABOUT OUR UNIT
Leamington & Warwick Sea Cadets were commissioned in 1942. We are a small but very happy and friendly Unit. We meet and train at in the Leamington Branch of the R.N.A. The parade night being on a Tuesday and Thursday from 1915 to 2130. For cadets 12 and over they meet on Tuesday and Thursdays. The junior section ( 10 to 12 years of age ) meet on a Thursday but they are also welcome attend on a Tuesday if they wish as other activities take place such as football and swimming. At present we supply training in Pulling[rowing], full bore shooting, first aid,and power boating. Many other disciplines can be covered at the request of the training Officer.

Unit Training Officer (Internal): PPO Hazel Robbins instructs part 1 training and instructional methods. She also has qualifications in power boating.

General Training Instructor and Boats Officer: CI Steve Jelley is a qualified BCU Level 1 Kayak and Canoeing Instructor. He is also qualified in power boating and is currently training for his safety boat certificate.

General Training Instructor: CI Paddy Garner. Paddy is specialises in first aid, power boating and part 1 training. He is has recently qualified as an Ocean Diver whilst on a Sea Cadet course..

PPO Garrison Brown: He has been in the corp for 7 years and has worked his way up through the ranks to become a PPO. He has a wealth of knowledge and experiences such as drill and power boating. PPO Garrison Brown is currently studying War and Security Studies BA at the University of Hull. You will find him instructing when he is at home from university.

NEW UNIT MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS REQUIRED
The unit is actively searching for new and enthusiastic volunteers to join the unit management committee. If you have a few hours to spare each month and would like to help young people to achieve goals they never thought possible, then you are the person. By becoming a member of the unit management committee you can help organise and take part in fund raising events, look after the units finance and many other aspects, which are vital to the units future. With out the committee the unit could not exist. No matter what your skills are or how small, we can use them.
