The King's Lynn Sea Cadet Corps, wish to share some good news!
One of the Officers recently found an old passbook which belonged to the Girls Nautical Training Corps in the 1960's. Alongside this was a management committee minutes log book.
This clearly stated that on the closure of the GNTC their remaining bank balance of £97.00 needed to be passed on to the Sea Cadets at Kings Lynn.
The management Committee of the KLSCC asked Lloyds TSB to trace the account. Unfortunately the banks recovery team was unable to trace the GNTC's account in their register of dormant accounts.
But, as a gesture of goodwill Lloyds TSB have paid the Kings Lynn Sea Cadets a payment of £120-00.
We are all delighted and say thank you to the GNTC and to Lloyds TSB.

Walpole Steam Rally 11th-12th July 2009
The band were once again invited to perform at the Walpole Steam Rally, and were very well received on both days, a weekend camp for cadets from Kings Lynn, Wisbech and Mildenhall gave cadets the opportunity to show off their skills with the PICO’s and the gun run.
The Parents and Supoorters Association were there with a stall, with a tiger tombola and lucky dip raising £141.00. Many thanks to all the cadets who helped on the stall, you were a credit to your units.
