Burgee for Hastings!
Well deserved and as the Area Officer Commented in his report "Hastings is one of the stronger units in the Southern Area" and "Hastings has continued in the same vein as last year"
However this would have been our 36th burgee in a row but it was broken at 32 in 2005 but it's now 3 in a row and we hope to build up to our 32 in a row and beyond in the years to come...WELL DONE HASTINGS....
Thank you to Sub Lieutenant (SCC) Alison Brennan-Wright RNR for being a great OiC and leading us towards this great goal.
To Mark the award, you will notice the image at the top of the site has been changed to 2008 to reflect this change!

RNP 2008
RNP 2008 was held at TS Hastings SCC on 27th May 2008, all cadets were requested to be at the unit by 18:40 latest to avoid being late for the VIP. The VIP Cdr Bushell RN with the Town Mayor Maureen Chalesworth both inspected the guard and througherly enjoyed the evolutions by the cadets to show a little about what we know and do. The Major was how to go out on an expedition and how team work must be achieved in order to get out there!
The Minor Evolution was a Sea Cadet quiz where the cadets got to show off their expert SCC knowledge! It was all in all a great night and the Area Officer looked like he enjoyed it.
We await the results but the Optimistic Area Officer gave word that there would be a Burgee (The Highest Award Attainable) awarded to TS Hastings for the year 2008!
Also a big well done to Lance Corpral Ryan Persuard for being presented with a berth for a week on TS Royalist (The SCC Square rig Ship)
Well Done to all for such a Successful Night, let's keep it up for next time! Of course, pictures of the event will be in the gallery so be sure to check them out!
