Enfield Town Show
At this years show Edmonton and Enfield Unit were asked to help out on the Royal Navy stand, handing out leaflets, meeting and greeting the public. This was a valuable opportunity to do some recruiting for both units.
Before the show was officialy opened, participants which included the Mayor of Enfield, took part in a parade through the town centre. Along with the North East District Band, Edmonton Unit paraded their unit colour.
Hopefully both units will be able to take part again next year and publicise the Sea Cadet Corps once again.

Flag Week
Once a year, normally in June, the Sea Cadet Corps are able to do door to door collecting to help Units with their funding. Edmonton staff and cadets always turn out in their best uniform to support the unit, along with their committee members. Being able to collect like this means we can get our presence known in the community and use it as a recruiting drive, not only do we needs funds to keep us going but also cadets, without them we wouldn't have a unit. Flag Day is on the Saturday and our presence can always be seen in Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. Flag day is on 21 June this year, if you see us there, please come and support us.
A big thank you to Iceland at Edmonton Green for allowing us to do a bag pack in their shop, during flag day. Cadets and staff were there for most of the day and raised nearly £400.00. We look forward to doing another one later on in the year.
