Thanks also to all the Parents and supporters who turned out to participate in the evening. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did.

We will have the results of our annual inspection in the next few weeks.

Changeing Rooms

The Probation Service's unpaid work unit were working at the unit from 15-27th February

There were no parade nights on Tuesday 16th or Thursday 18th February, but the disruption was worth it, as the unpaid work unit were able to refurbish the

Main deck
Forward gangway
Cleaning stores
Galley
Cloakroom
Toilets
Bridge
Lobby

I'm sure you will all agree that the work is long overdue and was well worth the inconvenience as the unit is now looking fantastic.

Adult Volunteers

We are always looking for new Adult Volunteers....

Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, all walks of life and eveeryone has something to offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I haven't been in the Navy or Marines - can I still help? Of course you can. Whilst current or former members of the Armed Forces are always welcome as instructors, in actual fact most of our volunteers have no experience in the Armed Forces, most are ex-cadets or parents who decided to help out.
Q. Do I have to waer a uniform? Not at all - there are a number of different roles for adult volunteers within the SCC. Some do require you to wear a uniform, but others don't. Come along and have a chat about how you could get involved.
Q. I don't have any special skils - how can I help? OK you may not be able to kayak, or know how to march, but you will bring something hugely important, your life skills and experience are the single most important aspect of being an adult volunteer. Throw in some enthusiasm and you're more than half way there. We need people to help with everything from selling sweets at "stand-easy" to organising fundraising events. If you're willing to work as part of a great team there's a spot for you.
