Changing rooms
The Probation Service's unpaid work unit are workig at the unit all week 15-20th February
The unit will be closed to cadets on health and safety grounds.
There will be no parade nights on Tuesday 16th or Thursday 18th February.
The unpaid work unit supervises offendors cerrying out community ervice orders, over the week they will be refurbishing the Main deck Forward gangway Cleaning stores Galley Cloakroom Toilets Bridge Lobby
If they have time they will alos work on the stairs and classroom corridor.
I appreciate that this will be an interuption to the Cadet's training programme, but I'm sure you will all agree that the work is long overdue and it will be worth the inconvenience.
This will also mean that weekend 2 of the Marine Engineering course has to delayed as well as the Cadet class 3 first aid, both of which were due to take place on 19-21st February. We will reschedule these to take place as soon as possible.

Welcome to City of Salford Sea Cadets
The Sea Cadets is a nationwide voluntary youth organisation, open to young people aged 12 to 18, run by enthusiastic adult volunteers.
If you're out to enjoy life as much as possible, this is the place for you! Fun, friendship, adventure and learning new skills is what we're about - based on waterborne activities, but with lots of other exciting things to learn and do on land as well. Have a look and see what you could be getting involved in.

Our Unit
Our unit is T.S. Ilex, named after the Royal Naval Ship HMS Ilex. We are based in Worsley, but our cadets come from all over the city.
If you are interested in what we do please drop in on a Parade night and someone will be happy to show you round and answer any questions you might have.
